On the day of Ashura Imam Hussain was martyred. It is therefore recommended to perform Amaal e Ashura on 10th of Muharrram and Amaal e Arbaeen on 20th Safar as suggested in this book to curse upon the enemies of Imam Hussain and to express grief on this calamitous misfortune.
